To the ones who choose us for sport, movies, series, news and all the shows the little ones love, we say a big, big thank you! All you have to do, is stay connected, non-stop for 3 consecutive months or more to enjoy these rewards.
There wouldn’t be DStv without you, and it’s why we’ve created DStv Thanks, our way of showing our appreciation with exclusive extras of all the things you love simply for staying connected.
How does it work?
After three months of staying connected non-stop and paying your DStv account on time, you get rewarded with great entertainment or offers, dependent on your package and country.
Rewards are available over a set period and will be updated over time to offer you even more thanks.

What can I expect to see on these extra channels?
We’ve chosen four of the most exciting channels to bring you even more of the entertainment you love. This is what you can look forward to on each channel:
- Zee Bollymovies (Ch 114) brings you a mix of classic and contemporary movies filled with drama, dance, music and fashion.
- Nina TV (Ch 143) offers the romance, passion and suspense of the best African and Brazilian telenovelas.
- Viasat Life (Ch 177) brings you stories with heart and passion and about people believing in and achieving their dreams.

How will I know if I qualify?
Simply by staying connected non-stop for three months or more and not missing a payment, you will get rewarded. If you disconnect or miss a payment, you’ll have to reconnect and stay connected non-stop for three months before you can start enjoying them again.
What happens if my payment date changes?
Don’t worry: our system will automatically adjust to any changes in payment date. If you are affected by this, give us a call or visit your nearest MultiChoice branch and we’ll look into it.
Who can get DStv Thanks rewards and who can’t?
All DStv Premium, Compact, Compact Plus, Family and Access customers who have been continuously connected for a period of three months or more qualify for DStv Thanks rewards.
Some rewards are package specific and specific to your country.
Commercial customers, VIP and shareholders do not qualify.
What happens if my payment date changes? What happens if my payment doesn’t reflect on your system?
Get in touch with our contact centre or visit a branch and we’ll look into the problem for you.
I qualify for the rewards but can’t access them. What do I do?
Get in touch with our call centre or a local DStv agent, or visit your nearest MultiChoice branch and we’ll give you the assistance you need.
What must I do if I accidentally make payment to the wrong account?
If you accidentally give us the wrong account number or face a delay with your payment method, call our contact centre immediately or visit a MultiChoice branch so we can get things back on track.
Do I have to pay to get DStv Thanks?
DStv Thanks is our way of saying thanks for staying connected to DStv; you’ll never have to pay anything extra. All you need to do is make sure you stay connected non-stop for at least three months.
Once you qualify, your rewards will be automatically loaded; you don’t make any adjustments to your decoder!
Will I get different rewards in future?
We’re always looking for new ways to say thanks, and you can look forward to even more rewards in future.
I live outside of South Africa, but I have a South African DStv account. Do I qualify for DStv Thanks?
You only qualify for DStv Thanks if you have a subscription from the country where you currently live. You can change your subscription by visiting your nearest MultiChoice branch.
Why do South African customers get Zee Bollymovies as a channel without having to stay connected?
DStv South Africa is a separate business to DStv Africa and has different rights for specific channels, as well as different rules for which channels can be offered.
Why are Madagascar, Sudan and South Sudan excluded from DStv Thanks?
We are constantly seeking opportunities to add value to all our customers and therefore look at countries individually. Due to varying business and technically challenging reasons, these markets will not be included for now, but there will be more opportunities to include them in future MultiChoice programmes.
I’m in Angola or Mozambique. Why can’t I get DStv Thanks?
While the four extra channels we offer through DStv Thanks are only available in English, we are working on a way to thank our Portuguese speaking customers in Angola and Mozambique too!
Will the content from the exclusive DStv Thanks channels be available on DStv Catch Up?
No, as Zee Bollymovies (Ch 114), Nina TV (Ch 143), Viasat Life (Ch 177) and Trigger (Ch 188) are an exclusive reward for qualifying subscribers, they will not be available on DStv Catch Up as this would mean everyone has access to them.
However, if you have a PVR or HD decoder, you can record any of your favourite shows so you don’t miss out.
